More info
There are also some BF3 details on the twitter feed of Alan "Demize99" Kertz, the senior gameplay designer on Battlefield 3, who mentions "Huge Maps. Tanks Defibrillators. Jets. Team play" and "The focus of #BF3 isn't special forces... we'll leave that to MOH" and "Yes, there will be spotting" and "Dolphin Diving is out. Period" and "There will be a knife, there will be dogtags. No details for now" and "I want players to have to chose between CQB and Long Range, there won't be hybrid scopes because it kills that choice" and "Vehicle/Infantry balance is a focus for me, it will be awesome this time" and "No plans for ziplines or grapple hooks no" and "BF3 will be deeper than BF2. That said we've paid a lot of attention to keeping depth while pacing the learning curve."

Damn new info coming out everyday, seems like the game is being released next month instead of in the fall.
CONFIRMED: DICE said that they consider the PC version to be the lead version of the game. This gives me hope
There will also be a degree of character customization for players
Battlefield 3 will feature a kill cam, similar to Call of Duty’s, and players will be able to turn it off.
Sulaymaniyah and Iraqi Kurdistan have been confirmed as locations in the game, joining Tehran, Paris and New York. There will be a full single player campaign which will be completely original
Though the PC is the lead version of the game, there won’t be any support for modding on release. DICE say that the Frostbite 2 engine is complex and the tools would have to be dumbed down for general use. This doesn’t rule out a release of some form of mod tools in future. No mod tools will piss off a huge amount of gamers, but games are going this direction anyways

Ive seen the frost-ED editor, it's as straight forward as any other editor.. How do you think they're making expansion packs? Cannot wait for the game though.. Here are some scans of the latet game-informer magazine.. I have not yet read through it all but seems informative.

It looks like the expansion is only available with the Digital Download. That's kinda cheap on their part. They should've included it with any pre-order. I guess I'll have to forgo that then; I ONLY buy the disc copy, not the digital download......I've got a thing for actually having the disc on hand for the game.
