So, a LONG time ago, in our Galaxy, I was a member of a very small group of gamers playing a $5 bargain bin game called, "Codename Eagle"(I still have the original disk)... We had Bi-planes, flamethrowers, zeppelins motorcycles dynamite etc... This is where it all began... I've been around this game I'm sure, longer than any EA employee(Unless Ken Balthazaar is still there, or Chris Espiritu, I know Jamil Dawsari is no longer there).. I was one of only twelve outside beta testers for BF1942, attended the U.S.S. Hornet aircraft carrier release party, got to mingle with DICE and EA and play with 64 computers all set up on a LAN on the carrier, I still have footage of it.. Visited EA in Redwood City quite commonly... It was a really exciting time because we all knew what was coming, very fun and exciting.. And DICE would have gone under if EA didn't see dollar signs so DICE was particularly excited..
Funny, when I received the invitation to the release party they said, "No beer on the carrier" Do NOT bring beer... So, when I got there, after having a few in the parking lot anyway, (Got to sit in the Apollo Capsule half lit..LoL) DICE came walking up with ice chests FULL of beer...LoL Crazy bunch that DICE... .. Anyways, so, it didn't surprise me when they decided to go back to the roots before their roots.. Zeppelins, Bi-planes etc..
