My Gaming system is down until further noticed. Total suckage I replaced my E8400 Wolfdale with a Q9650 Yorkfield. But my Bois needs updated. I am out of thermo paste. From swaping CPU several times. Also as far BIOS upadate I am not really sure as how and need to learn. As for now I do not have time.

Hey Diesel, Just letting you know a known issue when upgrading from dual core to quad core without reformatting is the device manager will only show 2 cores with the new CPU. If this is the case pm me and i will research the fix, it is something very simple and obvious. I think it is a bios change the more I think about it. In any event good luck on the upgrade.

Thanks the input Steelhed, Nimmer. I found out why my system was freezing. It was due to a bent pin on the CPU socket. After removing the Mother Board I took a closer look and found those bent pins. So after reading how to make the nessary repairs to the pins. I took the time to upgrade my BIOS not as hard as I thought. But still a pain in the assish. My system is up and running smooth as a 12V-14 Detroit Diesel and almost as much power.
