| Here is what i know so far.
1.Origin is required to play BF3
2.Your Origin sign in name will be your in game name
3.You can get your Origin ID changed if you contact EA Support, they do not like to do it but they will.
so pick your Origin login wisley | |

| Mine is > SpooN11B I had to deal with customer support on this issue though. To find out I had two emails being used. The one I used to register BF2SF was the one EA used to create my Master ID years ago. So of course when I went to go register with Origin, Spoon11b was already taken.....by me... Since the online help was down I decided to call there help line 1-855-674-4461. I had to wait 15 mins in line but it was well worth it. I ended up with a guy by the name of Col. After I explained what I needed done he told me that If I "Merged" the accounts I would loose all previous data, but in return, I would have my name. I decided to go ahead with it and merge the accounts in order to keep my name. He puts me on hold for a few mins then gets back online and tells me he wanted to look deeper into the matter. To find out this guy plays BF as well and felt bad about me loosing all my data. To make this really long story short, he was able to delete my old account and email and move my SpooN11B over to the account I have been using for almost 10 years, without loosing any data.  So if you have a problem with your new Master ID I highly recommend calling the number and asking for Col. In return for him helping me out I bought the game over the phone so he ended up with a little commission and he even offered me a 15% discount on any other game I wanted through Origin....Now that's customer service! By the way....these guys are based out of Austin TX and speak English......just saying.....not bad for customer service. I also asked him if Origin will be needed in order to run BF3. In short...yes, but he said if you buy the hard copy and choose to register it a "certain way"..not sure how, you can play it without Origin in the background. | |

I got an invite to the alpha and said my key was already in use.
I talked to a guy and he stayed on the IM chat for an hour trying to get it fixed. They couldn't figure it out and 2 supervisors later the inserted it on my games list. After i got the alpha i also recieved a free game for giving detailed feedback. . I choose mass effect 2 (the choices were ME2 Deap space 2 or MOH. I didn't like ME2 but i loved the effort they are putting in.
Hats off to Dice I think they are putting serious effort in and I hope the succeed!!! Steam doesn't have live chat do they ? | |
