If you are ever are in a spot where you are wondering if your video card is acting up, I have got a great suggestion for a free utility that will ‘stress test’ your card. It’s called FurMark and it runs on both ATI and Nvidia cards. It basically looks like a fur donut spinning in circles. It will max your video card and show up a defect if your card has one. Please try this at your own risk. I have tested my cards with this program and it does real hard stress test on your GPUS. Make sure you read all the instructions carefully and have a full understanding of what your are about to do before you hit the start button. Also if you thinking it can not hurt just to try with out knowing what you are doing then have a look at the picture of the damaged card when someone was thinking it can not get that bad. I found this of a GeForce GTX 275 that has not supported a FurMark session. MOSFETs cooling is important especially with an overclocked card…
