as an owner of the latest generation of sti's. i say buyer beware. toyota now has a majority ownership of subaru, hence failures and recalls. very fast when the car ran. but spent alot of time in the dealership.

A TSB is not a recall, they are bulletin's of paternal issues with vehicles.. A recall is now called a "Campaign"..

i put failures first for a reason, nothing better than commuting at 65 mph + or - and having every single piece of electricity leave your car with no warning, only for it to not ever ever happen in front of the mechanics or anyone else for that matter, then the recalls. ya recalls all of them were brake related. from pedal position sensors to a hanging calipers ( supposed) i will never ever ever buy a toyota.

Anytime you have that kind of conglomeration shift, you're gonna have problems in the interim... you're problem could easily be something as simple as a fuel cutoff relay.. Did it start right up again? did you have to wait a while for it to start up? Could be as bad as faulty computer firmware... Could be wiring harness from computer rubbed through.. just throwing things out there...
