"State of the Community Address"
Where do I start... Here's the order in which a successful gaming community works.. It starts with good people but, where did those good people come from? Our servers is where those good people came from and what perpetuates a thriving community. Without that, you are stagnant. Throughout the years we have had good games to rally around. CODUO, BF2,BC2, even BF3... In my 10 years, we have never been in the situation we are right now. Splintered into playing non-mainstream games, low numbers on teamspeak and a dead server.
If you click the members tab in the forums you can see who has recently visited our website. You'll be surprised to see so many members we have not seen in months still check in on us. Members we have not seen since BF3 took a dive. These people are still opportunistic about gaming. With some, life has gotten busy, for others, they are waiting for a game to rally around. Our Bf4 servers died a quick death. Not by fault of ours but, the condition the game is in. However, that looks like it's going to change here pretty soon. We have always had a great gaming atmosphere here so I have one request for you S&H members . When the game is fixed, please participate in teamspeak and on our servers at Strength & Honor and let's make today, the good old days of tomorrow. Now, on to the good news!
DICE is working on a patch that changes the netcode operation from 10Hz to 30Hz.. A LONG awaited fix to the hitreg and some other nice side effects.. According to beta testers, they are no longer getting shot around corners, there's no unexplained death's and the game is much smoother.. I have no information on when it's going to be released but, at least some good news..I can deal with the bounding boxes, they fix the hitreg/netcode whatever you wanna call it, and I am ALL in head first.

my concern is that its too late, i know for my self i will never pre-order another battlefield game. and i will only get it on trusted advice, its been out for over a year? and just now they are attempting to fix it. im afraid they broke it for good. But I still have it installed and will give it a go.

Your right steelhed we've had many good times through out the years. I want to apologize for not being on for awhile i"ve had a lot going on lately with work and Family but i should make more of an effort to at least check in and see how things are going. I cant even remember the last time i played bf4.
We've had several great people come through here and it would be good to hear from some of them at least to see how they are doing in life and in health.
So i have some bad news for you guys i'm going to make more of an effort to at least stop in and say hello, and i know i prolly said this before. I'm going to be in ts more or as often as things allow.
i'm working real hard to try and move up in this company so im doing everything i can to prove i'll do what it takes and put in the time. I'm trying to get a raise and if things go well and i can get this supervisor position then i will have more time to do other things

BF4 update released for PC today containing the new improved “Netcode” for Battlefield 4.
This update has been developed using the CTE (Community Test Environment) on PC (you can sign up if you haven’t done so already at http://cte.battlelog.com), and is the first update being deployed using your gameplay feedback.
The number of changes possible in this update would be difficult to pull off without the continued support from the community, both through direct constructive feedback and telemetry data gathered on the CTE.
High Frequency Network Update For the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms, we are adding something we nicknamed the “High Frequency Bubble”. Within a certain radius of the player, we add the possibility to update the clients at a higher rate from the server. What this essentially means is that the server will update the client on what is happening more often than before. This normally results in a smoother, more “correct” player experience.

Hey y'all!
I've missed gaming with y'all these past few weeks, but there's been a good reason for me being MIA.
My firstborn son arrived (4 days early) on May 30th! He came after 11.25 hours of labor - a natural birth at home. Weighing in at a lightweight 6lb 10oz, and 20" long.
He's been a good baby, sleeping, pooping, and eating and all that. But obviously a lot of work, and no time for gaming. This is the first time I've been on in nearly a month.
I hope to get a chance to play more in the coming weeks. And definitely hoping that we'll hang tough through these lean times until a worthwhile game makes its appearance.
