On that note, Battleground Europe (formerly known as WWIIonline) has gone free to play I just found out... The map is literally a half scale of Europe... The graphics are pathetic but, having 20 bombers make a run, or having a 100 man squad or massive tank battalion, there is no limit... I beta tested this game about 8 years ago or so... If you can believe this, it looks to have improved quite a bit.. Here's a trailer
