| Right now, I have a Quadcore AMD 2.6, Asus Mobo(that only allows 4GB RAM at 400MHz sigh).., DDR2 RAM
What I am looking for is either, an AM2 socket motherboard that will take at least 8GB of RAM, OR,:
A whole new quad core Intel or AMD mobo combo, possibly even with some RAM...
I am having to run stuff on medium to low and now need to upgrade...
Lemme know what you got, and how much you want.. I am looking at some things on Tigerdirect but, thought I'd hit you guys up first.

| It's my RAM that is the huge bottleneck.. I can deal with the rest of what I have if I could get more RAM at a faster MHz... But I can't do that til I swap out the motherboard. | |

| OK, here's the deal... My mobo is supposed to take 8GB of RAM and supports a maximum of 1066MHz operating speed.. However, I have 4 x 2GB sticks of RAM in it, and it only shows 4GB running at 400 MHz.... If I can solve this problem, I think I'll br OK... If anyone wants to help me research this, I would be appreciative... So far, I haven't found anything.. My mobo is:

| Well what is your CPU? AMD2 or AMD2+? If so then there is your problem. Its due to the fact that the CPU is at its limits and only a AMD2+ can support all of the RAM. | |

| did you do a msconfig, go to boot tab and click on advanced to see if your max memory is checked or limited? | |

| OK, so rookie mistake.. My RAM IS running at 800MHz, 400MHz double data rate.. So, im thinking, alls I will really need is
2X 2GB DDR2 pc6400 800MHz RAM sticks... If ya got some, lemme know how much please.. Thanks | |
