If you are in the states you can get it by pre ordering throught gamestop.com and having it shipped to you, do not use in store pick up.

This just in from EA's Russian Counterpart

"The 1.5 GB client will be available the morning of January 28th with testing scheduled to start at 20:00 (GMT+3), which if I did this right works out to be 10am PST.


From the forum representative office in Russia Electronic Arts has learned a little more information about the beta launch game Battlefield Bad Company 2.

In particular, managed to learn that DICE plans to publish a link to download the beta version on January 28 (morning), and 20:00 (GMT +3) will be launched beta testing.

Client Beta Battlefield Bad Company 2 will weigh about 1.5Gb. "

Whats wrong with in store?

In store purchases do not qualify for a beta/demo key. At least to my knowledge, thats what they are saying..

The battle for Port Valdez is fought alongside the waterline towards a great oil industrial landscape in the Alaskan mountains. Using basically everything they’ve got the Russian forces are launching an airborne assault to knock out the oil industries in the area. In their arsenal there are Main Battle Tanks as well as fast-moving Quad Bikes and mobile armored AA. It’s a vehicle focused battle, but with plenty of infantry combat.

CT has their own special torrent----- it has VERY fast dl speeds!!!!!

so many freakin issues with this game already... argh!!! I don't even want to play it right now

only issue so is that windows saw it as a malicious program and blocked it and that crashed me to desktop then again i only played for about 10 mins. will try again tonight when i have more time.

Hang in there guys... It'll get smoother..

Yes!
{} are accepted characters in the BFBC2 beta.
