| Though it may have seemed I was dragging my feet after announcing my intention to get involved with this group if you'll have me, the truth is I've learned the hard way over the years never to jump into such things too quickly and without observing the members and activities for awhile. In fact, in some instances I've found thatit was even more important for me to accept a membership group than for the group to accept me! In the case of Strength & Honor, I've been on the sidelines now for some weeks as I setup my new system and closed down my work relationships and dependancies as I now retire. What I have seen and heard has all been good, and typifies the kind of group I was looking for...that being one that doesn't descriminate OR drive its members nuts always trying to be 'politically correct'! One in which comradery is at least as important as the speed of your index finger. And one in which its administrators don't go around looking for trouble n order to rationalize their purpose! So now that I am ready to present myself for your approval, I thought tonight's community meeting might be a good time to begin joining in and start getting to know you all. Perhaps join in and get some Battle Time afterwards if that's what some of you do. But I didn't kniow for sure if these meetings were restricted in any way...such as for official members only? I'll check back later today to see one way or the other, bit in the event they are restricted, I'll start when and where on your TS map you may suggest. And no matter what, you'll definetly find me out there on the servers!

| Retirement? Congratulations, lucky! I'm ready now, but my financial adviser keeps telling me I still have a few more years to go. We look forward to meeting you at the Community meeting tonight on Teamspeak. Get to know us and introduce yourself to the Admins. Being a regular on Teamspeak, the forums, and attending meetings is the best way to get to know us. Earning the trust of our community is first and foremost to becoming a member. We want everyone to behave so we can have fun, relax, and enjoy gaming on our servers. See ya tonight! | |

| L2..., I've had a VERY strange life! And along the way I worked in a wide variety of professions everywhere one can drive to while on this particular continent! So as for the last 15 years or so I've been supplementing my frugal income by doing freelance programming from home. I'm actually self-taught too, so this became a lot easier AFTER my ex finally grokked the meaning of 'goodbye'! Unfortunenately, it was just about that time when the jobs started really thinning out, and now one has to practically kill to find that kind of work. No, I shouldn't have called it retirement, If nothing else, maybe 'attrition' would be a better word. Anyway I had some loose ends to take care of, a few promises to work out before dissapearing off the grid, and after that, a bit of resourceful attention to my newly available free time and how best to split it up throughtout the day. I have a lot of other interests as well, and cannot afford to ignore them either. So it all took me a bit longer to get things figured out then I thought it would...And I'm sure I'll be making a lot of udjustments to all this over the next couple weeks anyway. As for "Strength & Honor" I just want to hook up with a few guys who won't shoot me in the back and get busy learning how you guys approach and play the game. Everyone has a slightly different take on it! So I'll catch you tonight! | |
