Ban Appeal. Was wronged, hoping you will make it right.

I'm not entirely sure this is in the right area of the forums, if not feel free to move to the appropriate location. First off I want to say thank you for running a great server, one which I have enjoyed since BC2 and now on BF3. I consider myself a regular, and one who tries to contribute to the community by being a good sport, swapping sides to help balance teams, flying transport heli for anyone willing to take a ride, etc.

Anyway, I was banned two days ago for what I feel was a misunderstanding, and a bit of an over reaction by the admin. I had been playing for a few rounds when we started a new round and I was lucky enough to hop in the attack heli on Operation Firestorm (US side). I was copilot, and the pilot (Bubba_Choo) proceeded to fly directly to the top of the mountains by our spawn where he ditched the heli and thereby killed me. I asked him if he did it on purpose, as I was pretty much baffled that someone would waste the heli for a transport so they could just camp snipe the hills, and he proclaimed in a rude way that he sure did. Yeah, I should have just respawned and forgot about it, but that is just messed up to do to someone and I can't stand snipers who sit off miles from the action trying to pick off one or two guys in the course of an entire round, much less ones who are willing to ditch a heli, and tk their teamate in order to get to their favorite spot. So I climbed the hill, destroyed his spawn beacon and Tk'ed him in retaliation as to not let him get away with it and hopefull learn his lesson not to do it in the future because people don't just put up with that. I know teamkilling is not allowed, but I felt it was deserved in this instance as it was in retaliation for being wronged. He then immediately starts saying "admin, MisterRefleX is a teamkiller" over and over. I didn't feel the need to even defend myself because my score was clearly not one of a chronic tk'er and I was going on with my gaming trying to help my team, and as a regular I figured I would at least get a warning before a ban was laid down. Before I was banned, Shootist75 gave a warning to everyone about teamkilling, and said that if it happened more there would be a ban, but I was then immediately banned. I was hoping it was simply a 24hour ban which I could understand since I did do it on purpose and could live with, but I am still banned 2 days later. Given that it was just one tk, and there was a reason for it and I was actually teamkilled first by way of him ditching a perfectly good heli, I feel a perma-ban is a bit excessive. As a positive, contributing regular on your servers, I simply ask for a second chance. I think it is pretty messed up what Bubba_choo did, but whatever I just want to play on your servers again because you guys are awesome, and run a great server. Cheers.

First off, welcome to our forums.
I see the ban & it is a temp, not perminent (21hrs remain).
I am not clear on the circumstances nor the admin behind the ban, but we have a warn, kick, then ban policy.
We are a very fair community here & I am glad you enjoy our servers, but we do not tolerate rule breakers.
I will remove the remaining hrs with a warning that I cant help you if you break the rules again. Have Fun.

I gave the warning and started looking into the situation. But I did not ban anyone.
