BF3 Beta...REALLY?

We get a whopping 12 days of beta play??? Cheeze, complete CHEEZE I tell ya...


DICE released the official Battlefield 3 start today today, which will
be September 27th for Origin pre-orders / Medal of Honor: Limited
Edition users and open to everyone on September 29th. The map will be
operation metro on Rush just like the Alpha trial. The open beta will
end October 10th.

How do I install the beta?

ON
CONSOLE, YOU SIMPLY DOWNLOAD THE BETA AND PLAY. ON PC, YOU FIRST
INSTALL THE ORIGIN CLIENT FOUND ON WWW.ORIGIN.COM/DOWNLOAD AND THEN
INSTALL THE BETA FROM WITHIN THE ORIGIN CLIENT. MORE DETAILS WILL BE
AVAILABLE HERE BEFORE THE BETA STARTS.

Is Origin required to play the beta?

ORIGIN
IS NOT REQUIRED TO PLAY ON XBOX 360 OR PLAYSTATION 3. FOR PC, ORIGIN
WILL BE USED TO DISTRIBUTE THE BETA INSTALLATION AND run the game and
THEREFORE NECESSARY TO PLAY.

WTF?

Anyone feel let down?

Hey guys haven’t stopped over in awhile but hope to be around more when your Bf3 server is up. Enjoy your servers but can’t play the same map (Heavy metal) repeatedly.
If all you get is two extra days in the beta before its goes open I won’t fall for the same trick next time when they promise early access if you purchase a game or buy from Origin. Can’t understand why they wouldn’t release a map like Caspian so we could try out the vehicles, looks like they just got lazy and re-released the alpha. Pretty disappointed here.

Yeah, I was hoping Caspian as one of the maps for demo... But, look at it this way.. It will be a decent benchmark... We'll get an idea of what we might want/need in upgrades, and have some fun doin' it, on FULL blast, unlike the alpha...

weak dude. I was hoping for a new map.

good point they better have the ultra graphics settings on the beta.
