ACAT MOD!!! Problem Solver

I've been meaning to post this for awhile now, but I keep forgetting to do so, so while I still have it fresh in my mind here it goes. For all of you ACAT MOD users, new and/or familiar with it just a little heads up on it. If your steam account updates Grid, you should check to see if your ACAT MOD is still installed with the red lettering that you should be able to see on the enter screen. If you don't then you need to reinstall it. OR if you have verified the game cache of Grid via steam. Then you will have to reinstall it. Just be aware of that because this mod changes some of the game files, so some levels may not be available to play so keep that in mind. Ok now that I got that out of the way.

If you already have the mod installed then you absolutely MUST uninstall it, do not try and reinstall it because you will end up getting the same results. So go ahead and uninstall it and convert your Grid game back to it's original state. Now you can go and install a fresh new version of the mod. Be sure to Manually direct the program to the files, I have found this to be the easiest way to do it, simply because if you let the program do it, it's a hit or miss and frustration will be sure to follow. Should look something like this....

(Drive Steam is installed on):\ProgramsFiles(x86),Steam,SteamApps,Common,Grid (ONLY CLICK THE FOLDER ONCE NOT TWICE)

Now click install or next which ever it promps you to do next.

Let it load and BOOM!!! LETS GO RACING!

Heads up... anyone wanting to play Grid single player/campaign... make sure you do NOT select tourneys that are from the ACAT mod... some of the map lists are insanely long, and some will crash the game.

Make sure you pick a tourney that is part of the original single player game. Also, if you uninstall ACAT to try and play single player AFTER you've started a career the saved games are considered "corrupt" by the game and will not load without it, you'll effectively have to start over.

I'm looking forward to playing some this weekend IF I can get home from Cleveland.
