| Hi I'm new to your forums but not to your BC2 servers. I was one of the unfortunate ones to have been banned the other night by Punk Buster with the PB Hack #132110. That was removed by the afternoon on Wednesday Dec 1 by even balance, and I was once again able to play on PB streaming servers. However I just tried to log into your server just now and it still says I am banned. This is the email I received back from Even Balance on my appeal:
12/01/2010 11:44:50 - "Hendrik T" Note #4: We have confirmed that some of the kicks for violation numbers 132110, 132352, and 132322 made during the past few hours were caused by something other than the presence of a cheat. We encourage server admins to give players the benefit of the doubt and not ban players for these violations. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Please try playing again. If you still experience this kick, please reply to this ticket directly. Thank you.
My user name in BC2 is "Zappa." without the quotes but with the period at the end. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to provide to you to get this fixed.
Thank You
Zappa |

| If you were not banned by one of our admins, I don' think there's anything we can do. I do not see you in our banlist in Rcon. Have you been able to play on any other streaming servers? If not, then make sure you didn't have multiple violations of that same accident that needs to be lifted. Good luck.. I've seen you on our server allot, you have been a good team player, hope you get this resolved.. _________________ www.steelhed.com

| Please provide me with the last 8 digits of your PB GUID I did a check at PBBANS on the Alias ZAPPA and it shows that Alias was last seen playing back in April and has not been seen since.
IF ZAPPA your exact ingame name there are no PBBANS associated with that account

| I have been playing on other PB streaming servers since the ban was removed with no problems. Then I tried to log into your server, which I believe was the one that triggered this whole mess for me and it said I was still banned.
My user name is Zappa. (with the period . at the end)
The last 8 of my GUID is: e549d663
I will try logging in to your server again now and see what happens. Ok this is what it just said.
"You have been kicked from the game. The reason is: PunkBuster permanent ban issued on this Game Server for player 'Zappa.' ... Prior Kick/Ban"
I had punkbuster log to a file and this is what it said:
[12.03.2010 16:06:04] Not Connected to a Server [12.03.2010 16:06:07] PB Services socket initialized [12.03.2010 16:06:09] PnkBstrA successfully loaded PnkBstrB [12.03.2010 16:06:12] PnkBstrB service installed and started successfully [12.03.2010 16:08:59] Connected to Server 68.232.166.142:19567 [12.03.2010 16:09:11] Not Connected to a Server
Isn't that your server address?
I hope we can get this fixed
Thanks

| If it's simply a mistake, then I'm sure we can fix it. BTW, I love Zappa. Travis32 |

| Ok I just tried to log in to your server now at 6:21 cst and I got the same kick ban message. I know it was the same server as that's the one I have book marked. The server was running Oasis at that time.
If this isn't something you can fix maybe I'll have to contact Even Balance to have them fix this. Like I said before I have been playing fine on all other PB streaming servers just fine since last Wednesday.
Thanks
Zappa
p.s.
I reinstalled team speak so I could log into your server but for what ever reason I keep getting a bad feed back loop when I was trying to set it up, so I never went on your server. I have no problem with in game VOIP or when I use Ventrillo. I do have my Mic boost on, but I would think there is a way to fix this in TS without turning that off. |

Got this from PunkBusted another pretty good third party anti-cheat site.

The same thing is over at PBBans.

I am not a member of S&H Zappa but I do know and game with the guys. I also have run my own community servers along with others for years. To help on your end I would do a total re-install of your PB for BC2. It may even require a game re-install along with PB. I actually believe DICE asked folks to do the PB install after the last patch. They had tons of trouble. Dont forget to save your game settings file and passwords before game re-install. Pain in the ass yes but it might help. The next thing I would look for is to see if both PB services are running in your Services area of you OS. Also, occasionally if you have any kind of fancy Desktop third party app like Curtains running as your gaming it may trigger some weird crap.
Ironman can take care of their end with a bit more investigation most likely.
If I remember correctly I have gamed with you before and never had any issues so being a cheat or hack is not even the case. Its obvious you care or you would not be here. Good Luck Buddy. |
