What do you think about this monitor

Dells are way to expensive to only have (sony guts) as to reference a movie lol, you can find better monitors cheaper. Might i suggest a samsung monitor or asus or a hans g. In my experience with dell the only thing you really are buying from them is the name and crap service, but to each his/her own.

This is the monitor that i currently have it's a 27" but it's a great monitor and for the price you can buy 2 or more than what you would have paid for that one dell. Also this monitor is a 2ms response time which is better for gaming anyways, i'm sure some will disagree but the research i have found leads me to either 5ms and lower for the best possible looking HD game play weather or not it is really that visible to the naked eye but it is mostly user choice.

p.s. Also might i add watch out when buying brand name electronics not from the company of origin such as a dell anything from anybody other than dell you might run into some issues of warranty granted it is their product but still just watch it and read all the fine print. Heard to many similar stories.

Travis I cannot recommend this monitor any lower than PERFECT I have the 3007 model 2560x1600 and I have had it for almost 7 years. I call her the "E" Special" ZERO DEAD PIXELS. Runs like a champ. I am pretty sure the guts are Samsung but I could be wrong.

I know people like Lunar and Java have (3) 1080 p monitors but the front display still is only 1080p the 2 extra monitors are showing you peripherally not whats in front of you. This beast is 1600p almost 200% difference in information. When you and a sniper are looking at each other from any given distance you will see 200% of the information he will which will make your identification much faster.

The only difference between my old monitor and this new one your looking at is the HDMI cable (I don't have one only DVID



I worked the Dell rep down to 900 plus free next day delivery and its been the best gaming investment my whole life.

there is a curse that goes along with this monitor you need to know about.
Every time a new game comes out with a new MS library (DX11) , you have to really put serious money into video cards to get them to run at acceptable frame rates +40 fps. bf3 with (2) gtx580 3g get minimum 45 fps. But it looks so great.

docs 27" lcd is still awesome i have it at work and LOVE IT.

Ya, that's what I'm thinking Nimmer. I have a 24" 1920x1200 Samsung right now that I've had for 3 years. It works great but my room is so small that having both a tv and a monitor is overwhelming. I understand the thing with the graphics card, but I upgrade every year or so anyway.
