| Yonni,
If you are using a touchpad, have you tried CM9 on it? I have been running it for months now and it works so much better than WebOS. Battery life is worse, and camera doesn't work. Those are the 2 down sides I have found.

Those are the 2 down sides I have found. I haven't cracked it yet... I have been waiting for this fall when everything becomes open source and the crack will be much better... I have high hopes for when the open source becomes available to the options that will be available (I am hoping android is already working on something for the touchpad) both the wife and I have one and we love these things, it's a nice tablet imo

| The closest you will get is CM9. HP and Google will not be making any sort of official port of Android to work on the touchpad. Even if the WebOS stuff becomes open source, the developer community around it is all but gone now, and the 3rd party app support will be non existent.
If you install CM9, you can still boot back into WebOS if needed, but otherwise I have not had any problems with any android apps I have run. CM9 is a custom built rom of Android 4.0 that the CM team has been working on and can be installed on a large number of devices that previously would not have supported android. It is really the only way you will get more functionality out of that particular device.
It took me about 30 minutes to get it all done on the 2 touchpads I got during their fire sale.
And yes it is a nice tablet, but it is so limited in what it can do. CM9 gave the the ability to have it not fade away into obscurity, but still be able to install and run new stuff coming out.

| The DV6 with a small SSD and a reinstallation of Windows (if you can get a copy of Win7) would actually be a very decent laptop.
I have a DV6 that is 7 years old, and has a SATAII 80GB SSD in it, and it is faster than some laptops you can go buy right now.
You could also wait for Windows 8, because if the laptop has XP or Vista, you can upgrade to Windows 8 for 39 bucks.
