Funny thing is that video is actually pretty old and those SSD drives are slow by the standard of the ones out today. Granted all of them raided like that offer huge performance, but I can't imagine the insane speeds if those were all modern SATAIII drives with the latest sandforce controllers.

At work I have 2 Intel 80GB SSD in raid 0 and it maxes out the WPI at 7.9

At home I have a vertex 3 120 SSD and I think it rates at 7.8

Need new video cards.. they are the slowest thing in my machines.

What would you prefer for an ssd, I thought about the Intel 520 series
, just the price doesn't really appeal to me just yet.

There are great SSD's to be had at around $1/GB.

What size are you looking for? Also, does the machine you would like to put it in have SATAII or SATAIII controllers, and are you running Windows 7?

Coolermaster HAF X
ASUS Sabertooth Z77 - Mobo
i7 3770 3.4 (turbo'd to 3.9)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo - Cpu Cooler
Corsair Dominator 8gb 1333mhz - Ram
Evga Gtx 560 2gb - GFX
WD Caviar Black 1Tb 6 Gb/s - HDD
Windows 7 Home

Those are my specs, it's SATA 3 Ready, and i'm going to be running Games and graphic design programs (ie: photoshop, flash, gimp) I mean any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i have some knowledge of ssd's.

Thanks
