Gents,
Not sure how long I'll be out, but after patching this morning my Wintendo (gaming computer) went into an infinite blue screen & reboot cycle. Very annoyed the default configuration is to reboot on a blue screen so damn quick I can't even see what the error truly might be.

So much for my free evening tonight Smile I'll keep you all updated; however, I maybe offline for a bit. I'll make the meeting tomorrow through my tablet / TS app.

if you haven't already started reinstalling your system if im not mistaken there is a way to stop it from restarting on system hang / blue screen :S.

go in to the bios and disable the restart on systemhang function

hope i correct on this its been a while since i had to use it.

good look and all the best Smile

I was able to stop the automatic reboots by pressing F8 and disabling that. So when I finally saw the BSOD it said it was having issues reading the boot sector, to check for virii.

I put my Win7 DVD in and wanted to start a repair, and it said it couldn't read the boot sector.

So I was like damn it... then I let it reboot again and windows finished installing the patches from yesterday morning, let me log in. I backed up everything off of the drive I wanted to keep.

I've not rebooted the system again yet. Just letting it run right now; need it for tomorrow morning's work and then I'll reboot.

Not sure if I lost anything yet lol... The system hasn't changed since the patch installed. I'm just not gonna reboot until I finish working tomorrow morning. Have all day off tomorrow; plan on enjoying it away from the computer Smile

Since I managed to get into windows, I haven't "lost" anything except time for now. I've managed to copy off all my user profile, book marks, password db, saved games, and all my current game installs to another location.
